THE GAME NEEdS GIRLS
On May 4th, 2025, The Program NYC hosted its first annual Girls Basketball Celebration, co-hosted by 13x WNBA All-Star and 5x Olympic Gold Medalist Sue Bird.
The event took place at Columbia University, and featured a skills clinic for over 100 girls, ages 10-16, from across the Tri State area. Over 50 athletes from both local Nike EYBL programs - Exodus Hoops and New Jersey Gemz - were also in attendance, and participated in a special workshop hosted by Sue.
Following the skills clinic & workshop, we hosted a panel, featuring WNBA legends Sue Bird & Epiphanny Prince, & a select group of women who have made great accomplishments in the world of sport.
